Today is a GREAT day, because its the day Nat comes home. After Mary Claire's funeral, she stayed in NC for the weekend to visit our families. I'm mainly jealous of two things:
1. Nat got to eat with our families together at Cracker Barrel, home of my dream meal: "Chicken n dumplins with a double order of hashbrown casserole, cornbread and sweet tea." I'm so thankful to have in-laws that like each other.
2. She also got to hang with our nephew Pierce, who could fit in pretty well with us out West with his sweet boots.
We're thankful for a week in the 70's out here, hopefully the snow is done for a while. Here are a few highlights from my week:
1. I caught up with "The Office" and enjoyed its return on Thursday night with my friends Ripper and Speedy who turned me on to possibly the greatest show ever recorded.
2. We ended the "grammar section" of our Greek class and actually began translating the New Testament in the original language. Until this week I would have rather played leap frog with unicorns than learn Greek. But, after getting to translate some of 1 John, I am coming around and excited about two more semesters of translating Romans and then James. I still am dreading taking "suicide Hebrew" this summer.
3. Since Nat was gone, I decided to live like a Bachelor and return to the days of my youth. I made a lunch run to Mickey D's to purchase the #6 combo: Filet o Fish. It don't get much better than cheese and tartar covered cod!
