Lessons on Dating

Lesson #1: If you want to have a movie theater all to yourself, go to a late show, on a weekday night, of a Christian film, with really bad acting.

That's what I took Nat to do last week for our date night and it ended up being pretty booyah. It was our first time having an entire stadium seating theater completely to ourselves. I had heard mixed reviews about the new Christian film "Fireproof," but was intrigued enough to go see it. We rarely see first run movies, but since the basis for the movie was "marriage," it seemed like a worthwhile gamble. Plus, the fact that it starred Kirk Cameron was quite tempting. He's been my hero ever since his days as "Mike Seaver" on Growing Pains.

It honestly might have been the worst acting I've ever witnessed, even worse then the floppers on the Dook basketball team. But as crazy as this sounds, I still think its worth seeing (if you're married.) The message is just that good...it compensates for the acting. More lessons on dating to come...
