(That's right, all of us were crammed into 1 cabin!)
Thanks to the many of you who prayed for us while we were at camp last weekend. The older I get, the more I respect those old YL veterans (like u Bart) who can physically still survive those weekends of no sleep and being "on" non-stop. Five days later and my body is still recovering. It was an incredible weekend and although there were many frustrating parts, i left the weekend feeling so encouraged and fired up about what God is up to in the lives of so many of my high school friends. For a large majority of the folks we took up there it was their first experience at a YL camp, and really their first chance to hear the greatest love story ever told. I got a few text messages from kids that night after we got home thanking me for taking them. One of them said, "This was seriously the best weekend of my entire life." For me, it was honestly the hardest weekend of camp that I've led in my 11 years of being a Young Life leader. Even still, it was soooooooo worth it!
You can pray for us now as almost all of the kids will be getting plugged into a few small groups to have weekly "cabin times." Thanks again for your prayers! Enjoy the videos below...
