Tonight we realized that in our travels back to Denver we misplaced Nat's phone charger. We live in an apartment complex with a hundred other families that we go to school with, so I just sent an email out to a few friends that live within 50 yards of us asking if anyone had a compatible phone charger we could borrow. Within minutes, Rick Shaffer knocked on our door, charger in hand.
While we were out of town, Bobby Raulerson started our cars every few days. Matt Farmer cut our heat on a few hours before we arrived so we came home to a warm apartment. Jason and Tasha Kell picked us up from the airport after midnight.
We're getting spoiled living so close to so many friends. It makes me wonder where we'll live once we graduate: a neighborhood, another apartment, share a house, who knows? Wherever it is, I am convinced that this is how God intended us to live, in intimate community with one another.
John 13:34-35, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
"Our relationship with each other is the criterion the world uses to judge whether our message is truthful-Christian community is the final apologetic." -Francis Shaeffer
