Baby Update: Yesterday's Scare

Friends and Family,

Many of you heard about our pregnancy scare yesterday (i know some of you haven't yet), but I wanted to send out a little note thanking you for your prayers and giving you an update on the situation. Nat started having bad pains in her right side two days ago and they kept getting worse, so around lunchtime yesterday we called the midwife and she told us to come in to the hospital asap as it could be early labor.

We spent 4 hours there...they took good care of her, hooked her up to a bunch of machines and did a bunch of tests. It took them a couple minutes (but what seemed like hours) to find the baby's heartbeat, but its still kicking strong in there! They discovered that she was having contractions every 3 minutes or so, so they gave her some kind of adrenaline shot to stop those. The urine test showed that there was a little blood in there, so they ended up guessing that she might have kidney stones. We're hoping that they're guessing correctly, as this would be a good explanation for the pain...but they want us to come in on Friday for the other test results and to check her again.

She was able to rest, off and on, through the night and is feeling a little better today. We're 26 weeks pregnant, so we need "Quattro" to stay in there a little while longer...about 14 weeks longer...

We're thankful to be home and for your friendship and prayers. I'll keep u posted if anything changes, but hopefully u won't here from us in regards to the pregnancy til Aug 2nd when we email out some baby pics!

Right now, I'd ask specifically for your prayers for peace and for fear to not creep in and own us.
