We're Moving (Again): "Le Decision"

A few months ago we felt that God was clearly calling us back to the east coast after 3 years in Colorado, but we didn’t have jobs yet, so the move felt confusing and risky.  One month ago we unloaded our U-haul into my Mamaw’s basement in Winston-Salem and she has been an amazing host during this season of transition.  While we would have loved to not move multiple times, we are thankful for the time we’ve been able to spend with our families and with Mamaw on Westwin Drive!
After months of prayer, job-hunting, interviewing, etc… we have FINALLY made a DECISION. (Hope the video above made you smile. In case you are not a sports fan and have been hiding under a rock this summer, it was a lil spoof on LeBron James “Decision” to leave the Cleveland to play bball in Miami.)
In mid-August we are moving to the NW part of Greensboro, NC for me to start a job that is complicated to explain, but one that I’m EXTREMELY excited about.  The job basically has three parts:
          - working for a network of AMiA churches (Anglican Mission in America) to help provide leadership, training and resources for other youth ministers
          - working with The Church of the Redeemer (an AMiA church in Greensboro) to help develop the youth ministry there.
          - leading Young Life in Greensboro, and potentially pioneering Wyldlife for middle schoolers in the area.

Because the job is a new position, it is only part-time pay at the time, hoping to grow into a full-time position.  In order to help make ends meet, I will be working part-time with my uncle shooting school photographs.  We are also praying about raising some additional financial support.   We didn’t want the lack of funds to be the determining factor in our decision and are confident that God will provide.  It is just clear that this is where He wants us and we’re thankful for some peace and clarity after a long season of confusion and living in the unknown.
Natalie will also be looking for a counseling internship in the area as she is CLOSE to finishing her Masters in Counseling. We are praying for a free place to live in the area, and open to renting short term in hopes to buy a home eventually. Thanks for all of your prayers!
