The dream begins: Levi's House

Today Natalie and I bought a domain name for $7.99: www.LevisHouse.org. We bought it in hopes of one day starting a home (possibly called "Levi's house") for hurting folks, for "outsiders" who need the love of Christ. It will be fun to see how this dream unfolds...drew

Luke 5:27-32 (The Message) "After this Jesus went out and saw a man named Levi at his work collecting taxes. Jesus said, "Come along with me." And he did—he walked away from everything and went with him. Levi gave a large dinner at his home for Jesus. Everybody was there, tax men and other disreputable characters as guests at the dinner. The Pharisees and their religion scholars came to his disciples greatly offended. "What is he doing eating and drinking with crooks and 'sinners'?" Jesus heard about it and spoke up, "Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? I'm here inviting outsiders, not insiders—an invitation to a changed life, changed inside and out."

Luke 5:27-31 NIV
After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. "Follow me," Jesus said to him, and Levi got up, left everything and followed him. Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and 'sinners'?" Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
