New Denver Church
I've recently gone on part-time staff at a new church plant called "New Denver Church." I know it sounds like a funny name for a new church in Denver, and that is how the name started, but it actually became permanent as the church thought about the idea of being an agent of change in this city and making it "new." The church is a plant from Andy Stanley's church, North Point Community Church, in Atlanta and we actually launch worship services this upcoming Sunday night, Oct 4th at 6pm. You can check out more at our website, www.newdenver.org I'm still doing Young Life and seminary, but couldn't pass up this opportunity as New Denver created a Leadership Development Program for seminary students. Myself and two of my friends at school are doing the program together. My specific job is service programming. Above is a picture of all of our staff: the 3 families (Malecs, Herbsts, and Reddens) all moved out here from Atlanta and the 3 of us doing the LDP (us, Chanceys and Hartles.) Below is a picture of all the staff kids. Notice the cutie on the far left!

So, are y'all thinking about church planting for the future? Tell me more about how LDP supplements the seminary experience...
